Miracle at Philadelphia is the exciting account of the remarkable achievement of the writing of that outstanding document we know as the Constitution of the United States. One of the remarkable features of that accomplishment was the fact that it was written in secret, and that the sessions which led to its writing were guarded carefully over a period from May to September 1787.
It is unthinkable that the media today could allow that to happen with the kind of tensions that existed between the delegates from small and large states, from north and the south, between those who wanted a union and those who wanted a federation, and between those who wanted a monarchial form of government and those who wanted a lean government. The fact that strict secrecy was maintained to achieve what they did means that they had to guard their work from the opponents and enemies.
