John Calvin wrote in his commentary on Isaiah, "It is not enough, therefore, that we believe in something which the heathen imagine to be a deity, but we must believe in God in such a manner as to distinguish him from pretended gods, and to separate truth from falsehood; and, indeed, when he has once shone into our hearts, those false religions which formerly occupied our minds immediately give way."
Words of faith rest more easily on our lips the more we practice saying the words of faith. That is the practice of Christianity. The more we speak, think and act on our faith the more real it becomes in our lives and sets us apart from unbelievers or haphazard Christians. When Jesus said for us to take his yoke upon us, he meant that faith makes life easier for us. However, we still have to put the yoke on.
