Emphasis Preaching Journal

Jesus had a very specific purpose in his ministry. Matthew tells us it was teaching, preaching, and healing. This is a huge task, especially when we remember that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. So Jesus needed helpers, and he called twelve special disciples and gave them authority over the negative forces of life and the power to heal. Did you ever think that perhaps you, like those twelve, have been called to a special ministry? Freely you have received, now freely give, is Jesus' command.
