I once saw a cartoon that had to do with worship. People were gathered in a large room and bowing before an altar. Except that the big square thing in the front of the room was not an altar of God. It was a giant screen TV. And on the screen was a football. The caption read, "In the beginning ... was Superbowl 1." The football season is on its headlong rush to its climax -- the Superbowl. We've had the football-saturated holiday season -- we've somehow kept our sanity through a fall filled with high school, college and pro ball games. Now we stand pantingly eager for the Super clash.
