H. V. Morton in his book, In the Steps of St. Paul, says that many movements in the early centuries took their names from their leader or founder. The followers of Caesar were Caesariani; of Pompey, Pompeiani; of Herod, Herodiani. In the book of Acts (11:26) we read, "It was in Antioch that the disciples were first called 'Christians.' " Their movement began not only under a significant leader, but as persons they stood out because they were different. They were known not merely for what they did not do but for what they were and did.
