A good shoe will take...
Illustration
A good shoe will take on the unique form of the foot that wears it. That is why it is less desirable to wear a secondhand shoe. It has taken on the form and "character,"' as it were, of another foot. Having a relationship with a God whose character is love means that love becomes imprinted in our walk as well. If hate is there instead, then it is not God that has been put on, but some other "shoe" that has walked a lesser and ignoble path. -- Fairlie
