A German proverb says, Patience...

A German proverb says, "Patience is a bitter plant but it has sweet fruit," and Paul urges the Galatians to "walk by the Spirit" if they wish to inherit the kingdom of God, by exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit: "love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, patience and faithfulness" (Galatians 5).
Patience and faith are always cornbined in the life of a Christian, and a good example is found in the life of Adoniram Judson, one of the church's most noted missionaries. He worked in Burma for seven years before he could claim his first convert, once writing, "Beg the churches to have patience. If a ship were to carry me to any place in the world, I would not leave my field. Tell the breathren success is as certain as the promise of a faithful God can make it." At the end of Judson's life, there were many churches filled with thousands of converts who recognized him as their Christian benefactor.
