A generation ago, many preachers sermonized against ungodliness. They denounced sin and sinners. Churches concentrated on eliminating iniquity. Many of them, however, lacked any concept of grace. Recognizing the imbalance, others began to emphasize God's grace. But many rode the pendulum too far.
