Emphasis Preaching Journal

The explosions on Jupiter in July, 1994, caused by comet fragments striking the great planet, reminded many of us of the awesome power and glory of God, the Creator. Although we who are religious may often pray and/or preach about God, it is easy to allow our prayers and sermons to become nothing more than mere rituals, devoid of true worship and wonder. The startling events of Jupiter, however, remind us of God's limitless power and of our own fallibility as physical beings.
