The experience of three disciples...

The experience of three disciples who saw Jesus changed on the mountaintop raises the age-old question: "Do we recognize greatness when we see it?" Stanford University basketball coach Frank Bunn was one who knew how to identify greatness. One season a newcomer showed up for tryouts. Unlike any player the coach had ever seen, young Hank Luisetti shot with only one hand. He was a deadly shot, but he worried the coach would force him to shoot more conventionally (something that didn't work as well for him). When he asked Bunn what he should do about his one-handed style, the coach said, "Stay with it." Later Bunn observed, "That's what makes a great coach: not changing a great player."
