Every teenager knows the words...

Every teenager knows the words, "You're grounded." Parents utter these words when the teenager receives a poor report card, or a traffic ticket for reckless driving, or after a request for a clean room is ignored for the fifth time. Usually accompanying these dreaded words is a time limitation: "You're grounded for the rest of the week and that includes Friday and Saturday." I should add, there are times when parents become so angry or disappointed in their child that they ignore any reference to time when they pronounce the dreaded words.
