If you are a subscriber to SermonSuite and your subscription includes Emphasis Online, you can now download the complete March/April/May 2010 issue of Emphasis Preaching Journal. This digital edition is a .pdf file that's identical to the printed version -- but it also features bookmarks and links for easier navigation.
To open and use this file you must have Adobe Reader or Acrobat Reader. If you do not already have it on your computer, you may download it for free by clicking here.
To download the March/April/May 2010 issue of Emphasis, scroll down to the image below and simply (left) click with your mouse on the Emphasis cover image below. Depending on the browser you use, the file may automatically download to your desktop.
If the file doesn't automatically start to download, a window may appear asking you: "Would you like to open the file or save it to your computer?" Click the "Save" button. Another menu titled "Save As" will then appear. You may then choose where you would like save the file to (such as your Desktop or My Documents or whatever other destination you may prefer). Then click the "Save" button. The file will then automatically download to wherever you have designated.
You may alternatively (right) click on the cover image, then select "Save Target As" (Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As" (Firefox) and designate where the file will save to.
Once the file has completed loading onto your computer, you may open it by double-clicking on the icon (or whatever other procedure you typically use to open pdf files). When the file is open, you should see the Table of Contents as the first page.
Please note that while you may copy material from the pdf and paste into a word processing document, you may not alter or edit the content inside the .pdf file.
If you are unfamiliar with Adobe Reader, you can move from page to page either by scrolling down or by clicking the on the page arrows at the bottom of your screen. You may also adjust the size of the type either by clicking on the magnifying glass or by adjusting the percentage -- both should appear in your toolbar. (100% is identical to the size of the printed edition, but you may make it as large or small as you wish.) A convenient feature of this digital edition is that rather than scrolling through pages, you may quickly jump to whatever article you wish to read by clicking on the links in either the "Bookmarks" tab or on the "Table of Contents" page (page 2).
