The custodian who locked up...
Illustration
The custodian who locked up the church at night after meetings was a trustworthy gentleman. He had done the job for years. People trusted him. He was not only efficient, but kind and gentle. When he died, St. Paul Lutheran had a problem.
The younger man who was hired to replace him saw it as only a job. He wanted his pay, but he did not put his heart into the job. He also didn't put in the hours he should. He was not very reliable and it showed.
