Amy took the long, hard...

Amy took the long, hard way to become a schoolteacher. She worked at a fast food
restaurant as she attended community college. This took about four years. Not all
universities accepted community college credits, but she found a smaller state college
that would. She continued to work nights and weekends to make ends meet. A series of
personal family problems erupted with her parents, brothers, and sisters. Amy had to take
a semester off from school. While doing her student teaching, she had to take out a loan.
When she applied to be a teacher, the suburban school systems had a waiting list of candidates. She took a job in a large inner-city school. There she found other students who also struggled to get an education. In some mysterious way, suffering through college was a teacher for Amy. She earned the right to teach these students from difficult home situations. This is one example of how Hebrews describes Jesus becoming our high priest.
