SHARING THIS WEEK'S GOSPEL THEME AT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AT
HOME
Materials:
Plastic lanyards or other string for beads
Colored pony beads:
Black
White
Red
Green
Yellow
Beads in the shape of a cross or a fish (optional)
Directions:
1. Ask the children why they think you chose these colors and what the colors might represent.
2. Explain the colors
a. Black = sin
b. White = forgiveness and purity
c. Red = the blood of Christ
d. Green = renewal and hope
e. Yellow = Jesus' light in our lives
3. Have each of the children string the colored beads to create a bracelet of faith. Allow them to choose their own pattern.
4. Help the children tie knots in the ends of the string.
*You can find beads in the shape of a cross or a fish to add variety to colored beads.
