An amazing plan
Children's Activity
Materials:
Heavy tape (duct tape is fine, it is not seen)
One white plastic spoon per child
One paper plate per child
Orange and black permanent markers
Directions:
1.
Give the children each a paper plate and tell them they are going to make a dove. Have the children cut the paper plates in half.
2.
Help them cut one of the halves into thirds.
3.
Tape one of the one-third pieces (pointed edge toward the straight edge of the one-half plate) to the scalloped edge of the one-half plate as close to the middle as possible.
4.
With the permanent markers, have each child draw the dove's eye and beak on the bowl side of the spoon, using the rounded part as the beak.
5.
Tape the spoon handle to the underside of the plate at the straight edge.
