Lord, when we are tempted to waiver from our ideals, we look to the power of your Spirit to keep us on the right path. Help us, we pray, to improve the way we live. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer Of Confession
O God, not only do we fail to follow your commandments, but when we stray we scheme at the expense of others to cover up our wrongdoing. We ask for your forgiveness, Lord, and pray that despite our shortcomings we may still be found useful in your service. Amen.

Leader: Come and bow before our Heavenly Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name.
People: We pray that we may be strengthened in our inner being with power through the Spirit.
Leader: To him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine;
People: to him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Almighty God, our Heavenly Father, we praise you and give you thanks for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ. It is through him that we have come to know your boundless love for all your children. As we worship you this day we open our hearts in faith, and pray that Christ will make his home there. Amen.

O Lord, our faith is weak and our knowledge of you is so limited that we can't possibly know the breadth and length and height and depth of your love. Grant us your Spirit, we pray, that we may have the power to comprehend, and that we may be completely filled with the very nature of God. Through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

Call To Worship
The disciples were baffled by the problem of how to feed the thousands until they offered all that they had to Jesus.
In our day and age, thousands, if not millions, are facing hunger of body and soul. God is calling for our total commitment to caring and sharing.
Come, let us worship the God of mercy who needs us to carry out his ministry.
Collect
Heavenly Father, you have blessed us and provided for our needs. Now we would be your body providing for the needs of others. Challenge us in this time of worship and show us what miracles can happen when we make a total commitment to you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

When we are confronted with problems that overwhelm us, Lord, we are tempted to give up and say: "It can't be done." Help us, we pray, to have faith in your power, and then grant us vision to look for new ways to solve old problems. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
