Faults and weaknesses are usually very evident in children because they make little effort to disguise them. Kids readily kick, bite, fight, cry, and blurt out why they're upset and who did what. Adults have similar feelings, but are generally more in control and don't make their unsavory emotions evident to others. In one area, however, adults and children act in a similar fashion: they blame others for their ills and misfortunes, and quickly excuse themselves. People of all ages find it very difficult to admit personal responsibility for their failures.
