Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) was a German philosopher and one of the greatest figures in the history of philosophy. He lived a quiet life at Konigsberg, becoming professor of
logic and metaphysics at the university there and quietly evolved a system of thought that influenced all succeeding philosophers in one way on another. Somewhere in my notes I have retained this clean thought of his:
Two things fill the mind with even new and increasing admiration and awe, the oftener and the more steady we reflect on them: the starry heaven above and the moral law within.
