As you know, Grandma Moses...
Illustration
As you know, Grandma Moses was a painter, famous for her landscape scenes. Asked once how she went about painting a picture, her reply was this: "First I paint the sky, and then I put everything else in it."
First the sky! And this becomes the overarching bond which holds everything together. Hills and trees, houses and fences, lakes and running streams -- under the one sky they all blend into one, one picture.
