If a teacher tells her health class that smoking is bad for them, and then she lights up a cigarette once the class is over, that teacher is not credible to the students. What she has done does not match what she has said. So her words are not believable. The Holy Spirit came as a confirmation of Jesus' words. The Holy Spirit helps us believe what Jesus has revealed to us about God the Father. -- Bowen
