Keep at it, we hear...

Keep at it, we hear. Hang in there. And we wonder about our faith at times. Why do we bother? Where does this lead us? Why should we worship when it seems that we are not making gains? When we see so little improvement in ourselves or in our church, should we keep at it? And the call comes again to us, to follow in the way of Christ. At the local theatre group, the cast was upset because, again, the production was not quite ready, and the reason pointed to one person. He was concerned about a costume that did not look right, or a set piece that did not fit the period, and even a small detail on the set that would help it make the whole thing look more authentic. Why bother? What does it matter? It's just a play. Who will notice? And yet a few people will leave the theatre remarking that there is always something special about these productions. They cannot quite place it, but it is there. It is the continuing dedication to the details, the faithfulness that is barely perceptible, but it is there. -- Gobrecht
