I was stunned when I read an article about a trend in Europe. It seems that more and more Europeans are wanting to be buried in unmarked graves without any religious ceremony. For example, in northern Germany at least one third of all people are being buried in unmarked graves. And in Copenhagen, ninety percent of the people are being buried that way. Studies seem to suggest that this phenomenon is due to the fact that many people are looking on their lives as being worthless and meaningless, and so they say that they have no interest in being remembered after they die.
