1. In this world so full of evil,
God, I make my prayer:
In the midst of life’s confusion,
May I find you there.

Hear me, Jesus, when I call to you.
Give your word of reassurance:
"I will be with you."
2. Fools may make the false assertion,
That there is no God;
Straying in perverse delusion
Knowing not the Lord. Refrain
3. Praying in anticipation,
Help, you will provide;
Lord, I bow in faith, well-knowing,
You are by my side. Refrain
4. God sends help from out of Zion;
Fortunes are restored,
Causing joy and exaltation:
