When his oldest daughter, Nancy, was approaching her sixteenth birthday, Harold decided to teach her how to drive an automobile. After a brief orientation session in the family driveway, Nancy took the wheel and proceeded to drive -- very cautiously -- to the empty parish parking lot three blocks away. Harold couldn't help himself. He braced his feet firmly on the floor boards, both hands rigidly placed against the dashboard, with perspiration dripping from his brow, Harold began a rapid-fire critique of Nancy's driving.

"Use the brake! Put your foot on the brake right now! Okay, ease out onto the street. First put it in drive! Slow down! Watch out for that bicycle! Put your turn signal on. No, that's the wipers. Watch your speed."

This was just in the first block. After Nancy finally pulled into the parking lot to practice parallel parking, Harold finally lost control. "You just don't listen! Can't you do anything right? I can't believe you...
