Good morning, boys and girls. How many of you know how to spell words? (let them answer) Good, because we are going to have a spelling bee this morning. Everybody will get a chance to spell a word and if you get the word right, score will be kept on this pad. I am going to ask one of our members to keep score and I will give you the words to spell. Are we ready? (let them answer -- have the children stand up in a line)
