Good morning, boys and girls. When you entered church today was there anyone at the door to meet you? (let them answer) We call these people greeters and they are supposed to make you and your parents feel ____________. (let them answer) That's right, welcome. It gives you a good feeling when you go somewhere and there is someone there to greet you. Many of our stores now have greeters and they are there to welcome you and answer questions about the store. That's a nice feeling because I never know where to look for the things that I want to buy.

At our house, we have a sign on the door and a mat on the porch that welcomes people. How many of you have welcome signs at your house? (let them answer) It gives people a good feeling when they come to my house.
