Teachers or Parents: Being ready to meet the Lord when he
returns is not a subject we would ordinarily spend much time on
with our children. We are more likely to speak of this with
adults. However, "readiness" simply means being a believing
Christian, and that is something we should always be willing to
talk about with the children.

*If you live near a Coast Guard facility or have any other
means of getting some U.S. Coast Guard brochures or recruiting
materials, secure these materials and show the children the motto
of the Coast Guard, "Always Ready." You may need to copy
something from an encyclopedia or off the internet.

Talk with them about what this motto means and share the
Gospel message about readiness. Compare what the Coast Guard
motto means in contrast to the Gospel message. You can make the
exercise as long or as short as you want, depending on the detail
you want to...
